Candice Green – Community School Director
Candice Green grew up in Southeast Queens and has always been passionate about serving Queens’ communities and advocating for youth. Ms. Green’s goal is to continue building relationships in the Far Rockaway community and expand on partnerships that will provide robust programming and services for our QIRT students and families. The Community School Director is responsible for assessing the needs of the school community and collaborating with school partners, non-profit organizations, CBO’s, and agencies to address these needs.
Isaiah Tart – Community School Associate
Isaiah Tart is a former QIRT student born and raised In Far Rockaway NY. Isaiah later became a Community school associate, giving back to the community and the village that played a part in who he is today. In Isaiah’s past years as a student at QIRT, he made the best of his high school experience. Isaiah is a prime example of being a product of a community school. Being able to build bonds and relationships with the people around you whether young or old is a great thing. The community school associate is responsible for working with the Community school director in making sure resources are provided and different goals are met.
